1990 mustang 5.0 LX, 25TH Anniversary foxbody, has Gt 40x aluminum ford racing heads, E-303 cam, and a cobra intake (matching top and bottom). Cobra roller rocker arms, cobra pulleys, 65 mm throttle body intake, 3.73 gears, aluminum drive shaft, it’s automatic with ford aod factory tranny, power windows/Locks, cruise control works, a/c- heater works, vin tags still on fenders, doors, hatchback, the paint is faded and mustang will need new tires soon, overall great shape for its year. I’m the original owner and I've kept detailed maintenance records from day one. This is still my daily driver and runs great. Clean inside and out. Garaged all its life. I have many of the original documents. This car has never been in an accident. No rust or dents. Original paint is in great shape. New engine installed at 256,886 miles. The hatchback has been replaced because a rock was thrown through the back window, so the paint doesn’t quite match. Additional information: A/C was bypassed and no longer works. The doors don’t lock. The radio has been replaced but I still have the original radio which will come with the car. Stains on passenger seatStain in rear hatchbackPlastic piece inside top of hatchback coming loose, just needs a few screwsHatchback replacement was maroon, car is red, impossible to see difference from far awaySmall chip on hatchbackFelt lining under hood is frayed None of the above affects the drive-ability of the car. This 1990 Limited Edition 7-UP Mustang LX 5.0 convertible is an absolute time capsule. The car has traveled only 2,375 miles since new. The convertible top looks like it’s never been down the seats and map pockets have seen little use. The 5.0 engine compartment is like brand new with all vin stickers in place. Parade boot still in its original package. This 7-UP Mustang is equipped with the 5-speed transmission making it 1 of only 1360. Original Window Sticker and other original paperwork add to cars provenance. It is a blast to drive as well as highly collectible. These cars came in Emerald Green with a white top, white leather interior, and Sport Seats. On the exterior, the Emerald Green paint extends to the body side moldings and the dual remote outside mirrors. The Limited Edition also came with 16 spoke, cast aluminum GT wheels. (The only LX to receive GT wheels).These cars have been commonly known as the 7-UP cars. The 7-UP Bottling Company was to give away thirty of these cars at the 1990 NCAA Final Four. In an audience participation contest, anyone sinking a basket from center court with one try, was to drive home in one of these cars. At the last minute, the contest was cancelled. The 7-UP car is also thought to have been the 25th Anniversary car- although there is no evidence of this. All Emerald Green limited editions did come with the “25 Years” dash badge. This is because the cars were produced within the window of ( March ‘89- April ‘90) designated by Ford for all Mustangs to include the emblem on the passenger side dash.A total of 4,103 of the 7-UP Mustangs were built - 1360 5-speeds, 2743 automatics and 261 were exported.This Limited Edition 7-UP Mustang is one of the most desirable Fox Body cars ever built and one of most sought after Mustangs to come out of Dearborn in the last 40 years.
